Lib Dems Poised to oust Esther McVey in Tatton!

After a hard-fought local election campaign where thousands of people across Cheshire turned to the Liberal Democrats for the change they want to see in our councils, it’s clear that for the first time since Martin Bell, the Conservatives are on the way out in Tatton.

Esther McVey’s party achieved their lowest vote share in recent memory, and it is clearer than ever that the Lib Dems are the main challengers here.

With constituency boundary changes now offical, Tatton will be welcoming new residents before the next election. Lymm, which has had Lib Dem councillors for over 3 decades, will become Tatton’s second biggest town. We can win here at the next general election and finally get an MP who prioritises their constituents instead of their own self-interest and media ambitions. Finally we might have an MP who speaks up for everyone who lives here, not just a select few. Finally we might have an MP who truly cares about our towns and villages, instead of using us for her own career.

But, we can only win here with the support of people who supported Labour, Green, and Independent this year. This government has been incompetent, destructive, and cruel. If you agree it’s time we showed them the door, then lend your vote to Jonathan Smith and the Lib Dems at the next general election. Let’s get an MP who works for us here in Tatton!
