Standing up for Tatton

Meet Jonathan, our prospective parliamentary candidate and the man who has been holding Esther McVey to account for the last 5 years

Jonathan is a former Director of Social Services and Strategic Director in local government, a current Chief Executive in the NHS, and a Children’s Services consultant. He has been campaigning in Tatton for years, fighting alongside our communities on a number of local campaigns.

Last election, Jonathan increased the Lib Dem vote by a remarkable 74% in Tatton. After the 2023 local elections, where people across Tatton turned to the Lib Dems, it's clear that we can do even better this time. We are long overdue an MP who works for their constituents, and Jonathan is the person for the job, especially at a time of major crisis for the NHS and social care.

How has having a Conservative MP helped the people of Tatton? Tatton deserves a different kind of MP. If elected, I would work full-time for my constituents: no second jobs, ever, nor gifts of sports tickets. I would be accountable and accessible, fighting in Parliament for: economic growth with fair taxation, high quality public services, social justice and human rights, an immigration policy that works for everyone, electoral reform, action to tackle the climate emergency, and rebuilding our relationship with the EU. I care about the people of Tatton - it's about time we had an MP who did.
