Meet our committee
The Tatton Lib Dems Exec are a team of local volunteers working hard to make sure that there is a strong liberal voice in Tatton, righting for residents' interests. Meet the team below!
Chairperson
Gareth Wilson
Gareth is our chair, and has been convening meetings of the Tatton Lib Dems for 4 years. Gareth lives in Mobberley with his family, and was our general election candidate in 2015 and 2017. As chair, he is in charge of day-to-day running of the exec and the strategic direction of our party.
Treasurer
Roy Garton
Roy is our treasurer, having stepped into the role in early 2023. He is in charge of the finances of the local party, and making sure that all of our donors are 'permissible' (legal in the UK). Roy previosuly served as a Vale Royal Borough Councillor for Barnton from 1999 to 2011.
Secretary
Jonathan Smith
Jonathan is our secretary, and is in charge of the formal business of the executive committee. He does things such as minuting, checking responding to emails, and liasing with the regional party. If you need to get in touch with Jonathan please email jonathan@tattonlibdems.co.uk
Membership Officer
Sam Dodgshon
Sam is our membership officer, in charge of everything related to our party's members and supporters. He makes sure that members are kept up to date with our activities through emails, Twitter, and this website, as well as speaking to people who are joining the party and welcoming them on board. Data Officer
Robin James
Robin is our Data Officer, handling all GDPR and compliance matters for the local party and ensuring we manage data correctly. At election time the data officer ensures that the campaign manages the electoral role correctly.
Youth and Diversity Officer
Olivia Walker
Liv is our Youth and Diversity Officer, developing strategies to engage young and diverse people in politics acorss the constituency. She also advises the local party on policy issues of sexuality, race, gender, and age. As well as our executive, Liv also sits on the regional board of Young Liberals and ran to for Cheshire East council in 2023.
Social Media Officer
Sarah Murphy
Sarah is in charge of our Twitter account, spreading the Liberal message far and wide and making sure people across the country know what's going on in Tatton!
